NV Energy wants to raise prices. They're asking the government (specifically, the Public Utilities Commission) to let them to collect another to the tune of $215.7 million more per year! What's worse, they're asking to raise the amount of PROFIT they're allowed to make per year. Greed, greed, and more corporate greed. We've had enough!

About this event This is an official Indivisible Las Vegas event. In America, we dont put up with would-be kings. NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies. Weve watched as theyve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. Theyve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies. On Saturday, June 14, were taking to the streets nationwide. Were not gathering to feed his ego. Were building a movement that leaves him behind. The flag doesnt belong to Donald Trump. It belongs to us. Were not watching history happen. Were making it. On June 14th, were showing up everywhere he isntto say no thrones, no crowns, no kings. Check out nokings.org for more information. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Indivisible Las Vegas has invited our two United States Senators, Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto, to a solution-focused town hall forum. This is an opportunity for both Senators to assure their constituents that they are doing everything in their power, using every creative means possible, to help turn the world right-side up again, and return it to a pre-Trump/Elon/DOGE era. We hope to have a constructive and engaging conversation. This is an official event from Indivisible Las Vegas.

One of the best ways to protest has always been satire. Our European allies have done this beautifully as depicted in the photos! On June 14th, dubbed No Kings Day, another nationwide protest will be happening and wed like to add a few big pieces to the march. We will be teaching hands on, how to create these giant puppets and bobble heads*. Make one, take one, bring a group and work together on one piece or just come to help others. This is a community driven workshop with the express purpose of creating politically charged art to bring to the scheduled peaceful protest on June 14th. *This is a messy workshop! Well be doing paper mache, so bring white glue, lots of paper, a large jug or water cooler bottle, dollar store brooms (3 for a puppet), dollar store beach balls, and assorted containers/bottles to create facial features or props and did we mention lots of paper?! This event will be held over two days and begins at 10am each day.
